  1. Prepare 570 g Pork Belly
  2. Prepare 300 g Ground Pork
  3. Prepare 4 Garlic Cloves Sliced

  6. Use 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  7. Prepare 4 Star Anise
  8. Prepare 4 Shitake Mushrooms
  9. Prepare 1 tbs Canola Oil
  10. Prepare 1/4 cup Light Soy Sauce
  11. Prepare 1/4 cup ShaoXing Wine
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  13. Prepare 1/4 cup brown/normal sugar
  14. Use 1 litre Water
  15. Prepare 4-5 Hard Boiled Eggs (Step1)

Add fried shallots and hard boiled eggs. Heat little oil in a non stick pan, add sliced pork belly, saute until pork fat is rendered and pork belly turn s lightly golden. A type of all-in-one rice bowl dish (known as Gai Fan/盖饭 in Chinese), Lu Rou Fan consists of braised fatty pork, hard-boiled eggs (flavoured in the meat broth), steamed rice and blanched veggies.   1. Slice and Dice the pork belly (depends on your liking)
  2. Slice garlic into thinner slices
  3. Slice Shitake Mushrooms
  4. Oil your pot/wok
  5. Add Garlic and Ginger until fragrance
  6. Add Diced pork belly and stir until partially cooked
  7. Add Sliced Shitake Mushrooms and stir
  8. Add Ground Pork and stir
  9. Add Star Anise and Cinnamon sticks and shallots
  10. Add Shaoxing Wine, Light Soy Sauce, Dark Sauce, Brown/normal sugar and stir
  11. Add 400ml water and hard boiled egg
  12. Cover and braise for 1hr - 1.5hrs. Do check in every 10-15mins to ensure water doesn't dry up. Add if necessary and give it a good mix again.
  13. Ready to serve after 1.5hrs. You can leave it longer for better flavour. Serve with rice :)
  14. Done and ready to serve!

Cut pork belly into small pieces and set aside. Heat pan with oil and stir fry garlic until fragrant. Add the meat and stir fry for a while and add the sauces, wine.
