Ingredients and seasonings required for prepare

  2. Prepare 2 kg Soup Bone (see pic)
  3. Take Enough water to boil the meat
  4. Use Step 2 Spices
  5. Prepare 4 Star Anise
  6. Use 4 Cardamoms
  7. Use 4 Cinnamon Sticks
  8. Use Step 3 Blend
  9. Prepare 2-3 tbsp Kurma powder (see pic)
  10. Take 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  11. Prepare 2 big brown/yellow onion
  12. Prepare 4 garlic
  13. Prepare 2 " ginger
  14. Prepare 1 big green chilli
  15. Prepare 5 bird eyes chillies (more for extra punch)
  16. Prepare 1 tbsp Pepper (finely crushed using mortar & pestle)
  17. Prepare Step 4
  18. Use 2 sticks carrot - cut
  19. Prepare 3 big potatoes - cut into cubes
  20. Use 1 tbsp rice flour/corn flour
  21. Use To taste - Chicken Seasoning powder
  22. Prepare To taste - salt

Season with sake, sugar and chicken granules. Masukkan bahan kisar (bawang merah, bawang putih dan halia) dan tumis lagi hingga garing dan terbit minyak. Masukkan pula lobak merah, celery dan leek yang telah di kisar halus. Jika terlalu pekat boleh masukkan sedikit air.

Steps to make Bone Soup (Sup Tulang):
  1. Prepare all ingredients: 1. Clean meat then boil until tender. Make sure enough water covering the meat. Using fine sieve, Remove all the grimes on the surface of the meat soup in between boiling. Once boiled, then simmer over medium heat. Meantime, prep the rest. 2. Blend ingredients. 3. Prep carrot & potatoes. 4. Dilute rice flour/corn flour in a 1/2 cup of cold water.
  2. Preheat 2-3 tbsp of cooking oil before adding ingredients in step 2. Fry for a minute or less then add ingredients from step 3, keep stirring until translucent & aromatic. Turn off the heat. Pour this into meat pot & stir to combine.
  3. Add in ingredient from step 4. Season to taste. Let this bone/meat soup simmer to perfection.
  4. Done and ready to serve!

Sup Tulang, literally Bone Soup in Malay, usually refers to beef soups which are made with beef that is still attached to bones. I did not have any bones, I use beef shanks instead - making it Sup Daging (Beef Soup in Malay). Actually Gear Box Soup ( Sup Gear Box in Malay language) are cattle bones boiled with onions and other spices in soup. Letak sedikit air sampai tutup semua tulang-tulang tadi. Bila daging yang ada kat tulang-tulang tu dah agak lembut bermakna sup tulang kita dah ready.
